Terms and Conditions

The base price for Wey Chieftain applies to all dives conducted within a twenty nautical mile radius of Weymouth any diving beyond this range is subject to negotiation with Grahame.

In the event that Wey Chieftain is unable to put to sea due to mechanical failure or any other limitation we reserve the right to terminate the contract with the charter party, group or individual, refund all monies paid and have no further liabilities.

The skipper will be the sole judge whether to put to sea, given weather and sea conditions and any other factors that affect the safe navigation of the vessel.

An alternative dive site may replace the planned site at the skipper’s discretion. The skipper will give full regard as to any depth limitation that may be required in respect of gas mixes or any diver’s abilities.

It is understood that all diving is conducted in the individual’s own personal and voluntary capacity and that he or she accepts responsibility for insuring themselves against risk of injury or loss.

We will not undertake any responsibility whatsoever for the conduct of the dive.

We expect that all divers are of the required standard to undertake the dive and that all trainees and novices are under the supervision of a suitably qualified and responsible person.

The charter party, group or individual shall be responsible for ensuring compliance with all matters arising from the merchant shipping act, the protection of wrecks act and any legislation regarding the laws of salvage.

The charter party, group or individual shall be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and persons are aboard at the appointed time and that all equipment is correctly stowed.

The charter party, group or individual shall ensure that all diving cylinders are in test.

The charter party, group or individual shall be responsible for any damage caused to the vessel and associated equipment whether deliberate or accidental.

We will not be responsible for any damage caused to the charter party’s, group’s or individual’s equipment or personal effects. All equipment left onboard overnight is left at the owner’s risk.

We reserve the right to make up numbers to a maximum of ten.

 

Cancellations

 

The cancellation of a booking by the customer with less than 28 days notice requires payment of the full charter fee. A booking cancelled with more than 28 days notice and subsequently not re-booked will forfeit the deposit.

If for any reason the boat is cancelled by ourselves, the deposit will be refunded immediately or if required, an alternative booking will be sought.
