Eight years as skipper for Ultra Electronics on trials vessel Sea Searcher, taking part in numerous sonar trials for the MOD and the US Navy.
Owner and skipper of the successful Atlantis and Wey Chieftain series of dive boats.
Twenty years dive charter experience, specialising in deep wreck location and identification. Some of the more notable being the discovery of the M1 submarine in 76m lying off the Devon coast.
The location and subsequent survey of the bullion ship Miniota in the central English Channel at 67m for Valley Ocean Recoveries.
The identification of the warship HMS Amazon lost in 1866 lying in Lyme Bay at 62m. Involved as skipper and researcher in the successful 2001 expedition off the Brittany coast to identify and dive HMS Charybdis in 82m.
A tireless researcher with an extensive knowledge and database of Deep Channel shipwrecks.
Leader of the shipwreck Project which will concentrate on locating, filming and surveying pre-20th century wrecks.
Specialist in sonar trials, support and sidescan interpretation.
Customers include Marconi, Quinetiq, Simrad, Jay Jay Consultants, Ultra Electronics, BP, Coda Octopus, Oceanic Imaging Consultants, the Dorset Wildlife Trust, Dowty Maritime Systems, BAE Systems. Dorset Police.
Grahame is the Founder of the Weymouth and Portland Dive Charter Association and Chairman for five years.
Grahame is also currently a director of the Professional Boatman’s Association. |
